About SHER Guru Samman – 2026

SHER Guru Samman – 2026 is a prestigious national recognition initiative instituted by the Society of Health Education and Research (SHER) to honor outstanding educators, researchers, academic leaders, healthcare professionals, and institutions for their exceptional contributions to health education, scientific research, innovation, and academic excellence.

The award celebrates individuals whose dedication, leadership, and commitment have significantly strengthened the quality of education, research, patient care, professional development, and institutional growth. Through this initiative, SHER seeks to recognize excellence, inspire innovation, encourage collaborative research, and promote transformative leadership across the healthcare and higher education ecosystem.

The Guru Samman symbolizes respect for the teaching profession and acknowledges mentors who have devoted themselves to nurturing future healthcare professionals through excellence in teaching, research, administration, innovation, and community service.

Objectives of SHER Guru Samman – 2026

  1. To recognize excellence in teaching, research, healthcare practice, innovation, and academic leadership across health sciences and allied disciplines.
  2. To honor outstanding educators, researchers, clinicians, administrators, and institutions for their significant contributions to higher education, healthcare, and scientific advancement.
  3. To promote a culture of quality, ethics, and academic excellence in educational institutions and healthcare organizations.
  4. To encourage research, innovation, and evidence-based practices that contribute to improving healthcare education, patient care, and public health outcomes.
